Breakfast Brownies
Brownies for breakfast?! Heck yeah! They're super moist (sorry, not sorry) and you feel kinda naughty eating them, but not guilty. This batch was made with our Peanut Butter granola and was hard to not eat the entire pan!You can serve them warmed up plain or top them with some yogurt, milk, or whipped cream.INGREDIENTS:1 1/2 Cup The Gourmet Granola (Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Vanilla, Cinnamon Vanilla Almond, Bourbon Maple, or Mocha)1/3 C Cacao Powder1/2 C Peanut Butter1/4 C Honey1 egg or vegan chia egg1 tsp Vanilla Extract1 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Sea Salt 1/4 C Coconut Sugar 1 C Applesauce3/4 C Milk of Choice1/4 C Mini Chocolate Chips (if desired)INSTRUCTIONS:Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 9x9 baking tin. Mix together granola, cacao powder, baking powder, salt, & coconut sugar. In a separate bowl combine applesauce, peanut butter, honey, vanilla, & egg. Mix dry into the wet and then pour in the almond milk. Fold in chocolate chips (if desired). Pour into prepared pan and top with sprinkles and more granola. Bake for 30-40 mins. You’ll want the edges browned and the top the slightly spring back. Let cool for 10 mins, slice & enjoy! Makes 6 servings.Any leftovers can be wrapped up with cling wrap and remain on the counter. I like to wrap them individually so I can grab one quickly in the morning.*If you can't do peanuts or almonds, you can swap out the peanut butter for your favorite seed butter and use our Cinnamon Vanilla, Mocha, or Bourbon Maple granola.Follow us over on Facebook and Instagram @thegourmetgranola.
